The Neches River Festival in Beaumont, Texas, celebrates the aforementioned river and what its given to the community and also honors high school seniors as they prepare to embark on the next phase of their lives. The event spans the course of twelve days and features a downtown parade, king and queen’s coronation, citizen of the year presentations, a dance where couples are encouraged to dress as famous people, an elegant ball and a farewell brunch.
